Dana S. Hubbard

Founder and CEO

Known by his peers as the Renaissance Man, Dana S. Hubbard has enjoyed a successful career in entertainment, collegiate athletics, and education, having worked alongside the likes of Denzel Washington in the film Malcolm X, Tyler Perry, and Tyra Banks, just to name a few. Mr. Hubbard made sports history when he was selected to be the first customed mascot for the National Football League (NFL), serving as the mascot for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mr. Hubbard has a strong passion for re-investing in youth, which stems from his personal experiences growing up in Jamaica Queens, New York and Hampton, Virginia. Ranked 468 out of 509 high school graduating seniors, Mr. Hubbard used this experience as a launching pad to propel his life forward. Since then, he has gone on to graduate from the prestigious Hampton University with honors (Cum Laude) and has also had widespread success in film and theatre and education.

Mr. Hubbard has worked with youth for more than 20 years. In 1997, he founded Camp DANA (Dreams Always Need Assistance), which teaches students the nuts and bolts of film and entertainment. Working in conjunction with the Apollo Theatre, Mr. Hubbard designed curriculums for students in the Arts. In 2020, he launched Project 468, a 501 c3 educational foundation, whose mission is to provide students with empowerment principles to help them achieve their goals and dreams.

Rooted in the tale, Tortoise and the Hare, Project 468 teaches students that it’s not how they start; it’s the work they put in, allowing them to finish strong.

Mr. Hubbard is currently working on several business endeavors. However, he is most proud of his publishing efforts. He is currently working on three literary projects—i Dream Different; The Harlem Skate Kings, and The Lacrosse King, the latter two which are part of a three-part series dedicated to bringing light to Black youth excelling in the non-traditional sports. Both are set for release September 2022.

An out-of-the-box thinker, Hubbard strongly believes the greatest power is within—we can achieve anything we set our minds to achieve.
